CIMflex Aspheric IOLs
ADVANCED OPTICS
Aspheric optics in IOLs align the light rays to compensate for positive corneal spherical aberration, resulting in improved image quality and increased contrast sensitivity in cataract surgery patients with astigmatism. CIMA foldable CIMflex series IOLs feature an enhanced aspheric optic that improves vision by correcting the positive spherical aberration present in the normal cornea. Our optimized optical surface is designed to reduce spherical aberration and provide excellent depth of field with minimal modulation transfer function (MTF) loss in case of decentration.

INGENIOUS DESIGN
In order to reduce Posterior Capsular Opacification (PCO), CIMflex IOLs also feature a 360° Square Edge for a continuous edge along the haptic-optic junction. As a result, lenticular epithelial cells are prevented from using the haptic-optic junction as a route for invading the optic area. Once inside the capsular bag, the “pre-vaulted” haptics force the optic to vault towards the posterior side for increased contact with the posterior capsule, creating a complete barrier to PCO and increased stability. In addition, the new CIMflex IOLs have a reduced center thickness and slim lens profile to facilitate implantation and allow for small incision cataract surgery techniques.
